Tell Us A Little about You.
@FullyBookedTBR: My name is Rachel, and I currently reside in Florida, but I am a born and bred New Yorker from Long Island. I grew up loving to read and wander in bookstores, and still remember the days when you preordered books from Barnes & Noble, you would get it the day of the release and not have to wait. When I am not reading, I am a Disney adult who loves spending time in the theme parks even if it’s just to wonder around. I am what I like to call a “Broadway Snob” and still regularly attend Broadway shows with my mother with famous actors in them. I have seen 52 shows and the likes of Tom Hanks, Cate Blanchett, Denzel Washington, Hugh Jackman, Bette Midler, Jodie Comer and so many more.
Tell Us A Little about your Bookstagram account And How It Got Started.
@FullyBookedTBR: I started my Booktok/Bookstagram journey back in September of 2024. I was always lurking in the community and being semi-active and I thought to myself “Why can’t I just post about books?”. I am a constant reader; I like to read a little bit of everything so I thought I would try it out and see what happens. I enjoy yapping about books and talking about all thing’s books, and not just the super popular ones. I am a firm believer in talking about all stories.
Who is your Favorite indie/small press author and why?
@FullyBookedTBR: I am expanding on my indie reads this year since I haven’t given much focus which is a shame because there are some wonderful stories out there. Some indie authors I have read recently and really enjoyed their work have been Lindsey A. Hart, E.A. Bard and K.D. Stark.
Alltime Favorite indie book?
@FullyBookedTBR: The Thorns We Inherit by Lindsey A. Hart
Tell us a bit about why the bookstagram community is important to you.
@FullyBookedTBR: For someone who is introverted as I am, it can be a struggle to connect with people who have the same interests and hobbies like reading and such. I have found a community of people who share the same interests and ideals. I have met some of the greatest people I’ve ever known on a silly little app and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
